I am trying to convert capitalized text to non-capitalized - is there an easy way to do this (keyboard shortcut?)
Eg. "DO YOU HAVE ANY SEARCH TERMS?"
Target: "Do you have any search terms?
Thanks,

Hi Stacy, You didn't specify what kind of file you're working on - have you tried Shift-F3 in MS Word?

Hi Stacy,
Select certain text and try with Format - Change Case and then select appropriate option in MS Word.
I hope this will help you.

Do you use Word?

If so, select the text (without the first letter) and press SHIFT+F3. This toggles between capitalized and non-capitalized text.

Shift + F3 capitalizes first letters of words.
Oct 3, 2006
I've just been trying this, and I find Shift + F3 only capitalizes the first letters of the words -It Only Capitalizes The First Letters Of The Words - IT DOES NOT CONVERT THE WHOLE SENTENCE INTO CAPITALS.

You have to press Shift + F3 twice or three times. It's a toggle with three positions: capitals, first letters in capitals, no capitals.

I had always wanted to know that, but never dared to ask. Because TMs sometimes deliver all caps or only the first letter, when the other variation is needed. Now if the sentence is all caps, I can highlight it and press Shift F3 once or twice and get the right form. What a relief! REGARDS hEINRICH
