So I need some help.I need some e-books (if possible) with these themes :

-A method for translation
-Principles of correspondence
-Translation as text
-Type,Kind and Individuality of text
-Robinson (1997) "Becoming a Translator"

Or anything about translations

Thank you!!

I don't have any links for you, Oct 27, 2006

but a google search for "e-book" and "translation" should do the trick! There are certainly lots out there!

Hi Szury, it's good to see you're willing to invest some time and effort into becoming a translator. You might be able to find a book from the Schreiber Translator Self-Training series that would meet your needs:

A practical book on translation Oct 27, 2006

Hi,

You might find this useful. It's a practical book on the professional side of translation.

Roger Chriss - Translation as a Profession

http://www.eskimo.net/~pyrrhus/GOLWeb/Tranprof/

There you'll find links to this book zipped in one file or as HTML files on the net. I also found it in MS Word format somewhere, but cannot find it now.

Cheers

Alex Eames Oct 27, 2006

You can get Alex Eames' free newsletter (motto: "helping translators do better business") under http://www.translatortips.com/

If you like his tips, you can buy his e-book "How to Earn $80,000+ per Year as a Freelance Translator". I wonder if he really earns that much??

Alex Eames e-book about Web marketing Nov 2, 2006

I read the book from Alex Eames about How to earn 80.000 US$ a year and I find it really useful, especially for a beginner. And it is very funny too.

Has anybody read the book of Web marketing?

If you want more informatio, please contact me at:

alex eames "How to earn..." E-Book May 29, 2007

Does anyone know if Mr. Eames is planning on publishing an updated version of this e-book any time in the near future? I'm thinking about buying it, but don't want to see a new version come out just after doing so.
