Hi all,

I would like to know if there is any online resource for helping in hard translation of restaurant menus (languages Spanish and English).

I feel this a special difficult translation but I am confident Internet may help in this case, am I right?

Thanks for your pieces of advice and help.

Here are some I\'ve used:

http://www.casadecarmona.com/Ingles/TheRestaurantMenuDictionary.htm (Spanish-English)

http://www.todine.net/dictionary.html (multilingual)

http://www.gencat.es/dict/llengua/eines_per_a_lempresa/barrest.pdf - this one is really good, and multilingual as well

http://www.lingolex.com/spanishfood/glossayen.htm - Spanish-English

http://www.softdoc.es/madrid_guide/eatingout/food_dictionary.html - Specific to Spain (Madrid), Spanish-English

That should get you started at least.

Great links!

I particularly enjoyed the Generalitat de Catalunya link.

Hey, if you need a hand with this (now several days old) translation, I\'ll be glad to lend a hand. Been doing it for quite some time now and enjoy quite a lot. Future translations, don\'t hesitate to contact me, or if you have any doubts with this or future translations.

Note from Moderator Feb 14, 2003

Hello all,

All offers of help are welcome at the Translator Resources but disguised sales pitches are not very polite. In the future please refrain from advertising or offering paid services in the Translator Resources forum.

I tried to edit the relevant post but it\'s unavailable.

Will try later.
