I am Virginia, a Chinese girl, who translates Portuguese to English/Chinese. Now I am seeking for a good Portuguese to English and vice versa online dictionary, but find no perfect one. If you are interested in making friends with me, please add my skype: virginiacj. Thank you. Virginia

Hi Virginia, I don't know if you're willing to pay, but I use Porto Editora's dictionary (www.infopedia.pt). If you click in "Subscrever" you'll find several options there. I use "Professionals" (63 euros/year), which covers satisfactorily my needs. I hope this helps and wish you luck! Cristina | |

Here's an online one that's not too bad: http://lookwayup.com/free/PortugueseEnglishDictionary.htm Even among the paper dictionaries, it's hard to find a good one for Brazilian Portuguese. Michaelis is not very good. I have Barsa, which is better, but old. No new dictionaries have come out that I know of in a very long time. If anyone knows of one, let me know! The Porto dictionary is good, but it is only for European Portuguese. Someone posted about the reverso-net one, which I found not as good as the one above, but sometimes you can find a word in one and not in the other, so here's the link: http://dictionary.reverso.net/portuguese-english/ Good luck!
