Hi All,
Recently I received a confirmation that the Chartered Institute of Linguists panel accepted me as an associate member. My question is that on Proz.com membership of professional bodies there is no option for associate members, can I add my membership of the CIL as I am allowed to add ACIL after my name but I am not a full member yet?

This is a very good question indeed. Technically speaking you are not a "member", but an "associate", each with different entry requirements. It would be misleading to state that you are a "member", given that this implies that you are qualified to be one.
Given that Proz.com does not have an option to state the type of relation to the IOL, I think that the most honest thing you can do is add "ACIL" after your name in the profile, as the IOL allows you to do.
You can issue a support ticket asking Proz.com to add "ACIL" after your surname, as I have done with my CT as an ATA-certified translator.
