I have a doc file with a two-column table with English and Czech version of the text.
Please could anyone advise on how do I make a translation memory out of this already-finished translation and export it as Trados compatible memory?

Many thanks!

Open only this file in Word, then click on the PlusTools icon (install PlusTools first if necessary), and then choose the tab +Align.
You can find some more details in the Wordfast documentation.

good, but... Jul 8, 2008

Thanks for the hint.
But when I go to align+, then click create TM, then define EN-US and CS-01, I get MS Visual Basic run-time error 5914 - the requested collection member doesn't exist.
Is it my bad action, or MS fault?

Thank you...

OK I figured it out. Actually I needed to divide the table (left/right) into two separated docs and then the Align function offered the right option.
Thanks!

Look at :

http://www.condak.net/tools/align/en/00.html, skip alignment and go to ready Table

and use CS-CZ (instead of CS-01) for TMX = Trados compatible TM.

Another method:
dowload PlusToyz (not PlusTools), open Plustoyz.doc in MS Word and select command for conversion into Wordfast TM.
