unbreakable spaces

How can I check that unbreakable spaces are where they should be ? What marks them ? And where do I have to click to make them appear ?
In wordfast pro, that is ...

Hi Odette,

In Word's "Standard" toolbar click on the paragrapg sign (next to the display size value, given as a percentage) to display hidden characters (spaces, nonbreaking spaces, line breaks, etc.)
The non-breaking space is then shown as °. To insert a nbsp, ctrl+shift+space is the shortcut.

and there's more and more (and more) of the same. In other words: a search would help you right there and provide much more immediately.
