Folks,

Can anyone tell me if such a manual exists and, if so, where I can get it?

Thanks a mill.

Manuals for Wordfast 4.20 can only be downloaded from http://www.wordfast.net/

Sylver has written an introduction to Wordfast you can find at http://www.your-translations.com/cat-wordfast-setup1.htm

Gerard

Many thanks. Sep 14, 2003

Thanks a lot, Irene and Gerard.

Thing is, I'd already downloaded the users' manual but it seemed to require a fairly extensive familiarity with CAT principles and practice.

I'm neither a techno-phobe nor a techno-novice, but in this area I need some basic step-by-step guide, equivalent to a Word manual talling you how to underline words and indent paragraphs before introducing you to styles and macros, and then progressing to the more advanced stuff.

I'll try the link Gerard suggested.

Many thanks again,
Andy

Thanks, Gerard.

Andy, actually, I would recommend you start with the intro, at www.your-translations.com/cat-wordfast.htm if you are beginning to use CAT tools, then move on to the other pages. That should get you well on your way. Let me know if some stuff are unclear or missing.

Cheers,
Sylver
