Does it replace Wordfast Classic? Is it a CAT tool? I will be very glad to have information on it. Thanks and regards, AT

It is still in beta (in other words, it doesn't work as it should but you can try it). It is a web-based interface of Wordfast Pro with some eye-candy from Wordfast Classic. It is currently free for anyone (not only registered Wordfast users). Try it here:

Or read about it here:

As Samuel mentioned, it is a browser-based CAT tool that allows translators to access their TM assets anywhere they have an internet browser. It does not replace Wordfast Classic, both will continue to be developed. Wordfast is currently looking for feedback from users on Wordfast Anywhere. We encourage you to try it out and tell us what you think - http://www.wordfast.net/index.php?whichpage=anywhere .
Sincerely,

One thing I find annoying is that I can't select text and use Shift+Alt+down to segment it. I can use Alt+PgUp and PgDn to shrink and expand segments, but what if the segment boundary is in a place where Wordfast doesn't shrink or expand to by itself?
Another thing that may be a bug (as its behaviour differs from WFC) is that when you've shrunk a segment and then go Alt+Del, and then open the segment again, WFA "remembers" the previous shrink point and segments it there, instead of resegmenting it as it did before the user started his shrinking exercise.

I uploaded a file, but there is no "Open File" option in the menu.

The file that I uploaded (with Firefox, since Opera produces an error) was "opened" immediately after I uploaded it. I was unable to download the translation, though (I got a download dialog from the browser but no file was downloaded).

Hi Edwal,
You simply choose that uploaded file from the "recent files" in the File menu.
Sincerely,
