Hey folks! Hope someone can help me out. So I`ve translated a text and
cleaned it to a new TM in WordFast. When I took an original empty file and pre-translated
it with this new TM most of tags "4" and "5" came in as wrongs tags. Why is this happening? Has anyone ever run into similar issue?

Example:
Translated text:

TM match (after I cleaned the segment above)

Why all tags got messed up?

Thanks in advance!

Version of Wordfast, original document? Dec 29, 2011

I assume you are using Wordfast Pro: what platform and what version? What was the original document your sample segment came from, and what did the tags correspond to in that document? I'm asking so as to be able to replicate your problem.

Wordfast 2.4.1 Dec 29, 2011

Hi, Dominique

Yes, I am using Pro version 2.4.1.
The source files I am translating are docx.txmls, those
tags which got messed up are fontformat tags.

Does it help?
Thanks!

I couldn't replicate your problem with WFP 2.4.4 Jan 7

I created a DOCX that resulted in the same tags as in your sample segment. I translated it (using the CopySource function) and checked how segments were stored in the TM:

Everything looked OK, ie. the placeables (&tA;, &tB; etc.) were stored in the right sequence.

When I retranslated the same document, I got a 100% match (with tags in the correct places), as expected:

The first thing you should do is probably upgrading to the latest version (2.4.4), since you're already three versions behind it.
