Segment doesn't stay active when switching windows

Dear forum,
I'm using Wordfast version 2.4.0.1.
When editing a segment and switching windows, for instance to the internet browser, the segment I'm editing doesn't stay active and therefore has to be activated when I return. This in itself is not a problem, but when I click in the segment to activate it, instead of activating the segment, the editor jumps away from the segment and shows another part of the text. This is very annoying, because I constantly have to scroll back to the part I'm working on and click again to activate the segment. This second time, it does work.
Is there a way to keep the segment being edited active? Why is it deactivated anyway?

I'm using 2.4.4, and though the window is still de-activated every time the text doesn't jump anymore. Hope they will fix still more problems in later versions.
