Dear colleagues,
I bought Wordfast license 5 months ago, have done several translations with Wordfast already, but I still feel like a beginner using it. Too many details and things are much more complicated than the manual says!
Today, my problem is that I can't open some Trados memories that one of my agent is sending me from Brazil. The memories are in text format so actually there shouldn't be any problem, but the thing is that when I try to open them from Wordfast it always displays the same warning in Spanish that reads "Se ha producido el error '52' en tiempo de ejecución. Nombre o número de archivo incorrecto." I have Plus Tools installed, so that shouldn't be a reason for not opening them.
I am quite desperate, because my agent is obviously not willing to wait for me till I learn how to open their memories in my Wordfast. I have been guided on line by some colleagues who are experts on WF, and it seems that I am following all the steps correctly, but the memories do not open anyhow. I have sent several messages to Wordfast people directly, but they normally just refer me to the manual again.
Wodfast can not open Trados memories. They may be both in text format but memory layout is different. As standard practice Trados Memory==>TMX then you can import into Wordfast that memory.
Thanks for your reply. The thing is that all my other colleagues that work with WF for this particular agent receive their memories in txt format and never have problems importing them. Some of them have commented that receiving memories as txt files is the only possible way to insert those memories into their programs. I don\'t understand.
Sandra
