L'île d'Elbe (224 km2) est la plus importante et la plus connue. Soleil, eaux limpides et sable chaud, avec en toile de fond des petits bourgs perchés sur la crête des montagnes et collines, attirent plus d'un million de visiteurs chaque été. Les îles du Giglio, de Capraia, Montecristo, Pianosa, Giannutri et Gorgona ont toutes aussi pour décor un relief montagneux et une nature encore intacte, qui doit sa richesse à la diversité de leurs côtes et de leurs fonds sous-marins. Working with Words
Working with words has always been a pleasure for me. I adore the challenge of finding the right words or phrases to produce a translation which is both natural and faithful to the original text. That's why I only translate from French to my native language, English.
My speciality fields are poetry and literature, education and pedagogy, music and musicology, travel and tourism. I also work in the fields of museology, culture and fine arts, photography and imaging, and websites.
I have a Master's Degree in Historical Musicology and an Undergraduate Honours degree in Music (for both degrees I translated literary and poetical texts specializing in early opera). My passions are photography and computer graphics (for which I have also followed professional training courses).
I live in France and before setting up on my own, I had a teaching career with the French State Education System (Education Nationale). I have also worked as an English professional business trainer in France and Italy and as a trainer in England. I worked for the University of Cambridge (UK) for 10 years as Research Associate, Assistant Archivist and Library Assistant. I enjoy travelling and was brought up in the tourist/hotel/catering business.
