MY BACKGROUND

Raised in Chile until the age of twelve, I am widely traveled
and multi-lingual. I attended Junior High School and High School in New York
City, N.Y.; I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Castilian Pedagogy from
the Universidad de Chile, in Valparaíso, Chile, and my Master of Arts
degree in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Linguistics from the U.
of Minnesota here in the States. I also studied in Italy and earned a Certificato
di Post Laurea from the Facoltà di Scienze Politiche Della Università
Degli Studi di Pisa, Italy, and a Certificato di Perfezionamento in Lingua Italiana
from the Facoltà de Linguistica e Glottologia of the same university.
I have spoken both Spanish and English since childhood and consider myself to
be fully bilingual and native proficient in both languages. My love of languages
led me to world travel and multi-lingual studies and I have taught foreign languages
at university undergraduate and graduate levels in the United States and abroad.

I have over 15 years of experience providing certified translation (English
into Spanish/Spanish into English, Italian into English/Italian into Spanish.
Portuguese into English, Portuguese into Spanish) and adhere to the highest
quality standards. I have: worked with OfficeXP; knowledge of DTP applications;
experienced with Excel, MS PowerPoint and desktop and photo editing programs.
