Although an English native speaker who completed all my high-school education in English, I opted to study law at a bilingual university in Switzerland (German/French).
The result is that I am a trilingual lawyer, who, in addition to doing a PhD on international economic law at the University of Leiden, also works as a freelance translator.
I live in Indonesia, for personal reasons, but also because I have been doing some development consulting work here and in the region, training and advising government officials on international trade agreements.
