As a practising, Bible-believing Christian, my emphasis is always on doing each job to the absolute best of my ability. That means that every job is done with excellence and care. My commitment to integrity allows me to take on culturally and commercially sensitive work.

I have worked for churches, political organisations and agencies, with the fields I work in varying from real-estate and contracts to sermons and politics. The emphasis of my MSc in Translation and Conference Interpreting at Heriot-Watt University was in EU politics, so I am well-versed in all the main international institutions. My Masters dissertation covered the differences in interpreter output between simultaneous and sentence-by-sentence interpreting, underlining my growing expertise and knowledge of the latter.

I recently appeared in TV, radio and print media as the world's first Glaswegian interpreter.

My other interests include Christian interpreter and translator training and helping preachers to work more effectively with interpreters.
