I really hope you become president, this country is sorely lacking in nurturing values.
The last two elections have made me a cynic, I seriously question the whole process, and the chances that the powers that be will let you govern, still I am hoping, and just in case you lose, I am also packing.
I think I finally understood today how your mandate for Universal health care works.
Unfortunately, you are being so careful to stay away from the words "socialized, single payer, etc" it took me twenty debates to get it, Nader obviously has not gotten it yet, and Senator Obama calls it a wage assignment, making it sound like a debtor's punishment. I understand why you are avoiding calling it a tax (mandatory withholding) so here is an idea, MEDICARE FOR EVERYONE. Everyone supports Medicare, how would anyone deny to their children something they treasure for their parents. "Medicare will no longer discriminate on the basis of age, it is immoral, and should be unconstitutional …"
Finally, my deepest sympathies are with you. We hear about discrimination on the basis of race, religion, age, what have you, but no one has ever been more disliked, more feared, more ostracized than a brilliant woman, many fundamentalist religions were founded on the basis of that fear and hatred, many marriages have ended when a brilliant man, who always thought wanted a brilliant wife suddenly needs a vacation. If you win this you would have defied and defeated the most amazing resistance in the history of human kind, and taken a huge step forward for evolution.
Thank you, my hopes are with you.
