Nata e cresciuta in Germania, dove ho frequentato le scuole primarie, mi sono trasferita in Italia all'età di dieci anni.
Qui ho proseguito gli studi prima nella scuola tedesca di Milano, poi presso l'Istituto Tecnico per il Turismo di Milano (inglese, francese, tedesco), conseguendo il diploma di perito turistico nel 1979.
Ho iniziato la mia carriera di interprete e traduttrice lavorando come guida turistica ed accompagnando gruppi per un'agenzia viaggi milanese nei paesi europei.
Ho seguito il corso di laurea di medicina umana per quattro anni a Milano, non conseguendo la laurea, ma ottenendo comunque una formazione scientifica che mi ha permesso successivamente di lavorare come traduttrice per alcune agenzie e case editrici milanesi in campo medico e scientifico (riviste scientifiche divulgative, traduzioni scientifiche e mediche).
Ho tradotto testi scientifici specialistici (medicina umana) per la USES Editrice Scientifica di Firenze.
Successivamente ho lavorato negli uffici milanesi di un'azienda tedesca produttrice di macchine utensili CNC, occupandomi della traduzione dei manuali di uso e manutenzione e della corrispondenza tecnica specifica e commerciale.
Ho fatto servizio di interpretariato per aziende di diversi settori durante le fiere internazionali a Milano.
Ora, nuovamente come freelancer, eseguo traduzioni scientifiche, tecniche e generiche collaborando, tra l'altro, con agenzie di fama mondiale certificate ISO 9001:2000.
