L'itinerario si snoda attraverso quelle che furono strade e palazzi storici dove operarono le Arti. Le potenti corporazioni cittadine, sorte in età comunale tra il XII ed il XIII secolo , ebbero in buona parte il merito dello straordinario sviluppo economico di Firenze, contribuendo a rendere la città una fra le più del medioevo europeo.
Il percorso toccherà i più importanti palazzi pubblici e privati come Orsanmichele, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Davanzati, Palazzo Strozzi, le piazze e le strade in cui si svolsero i maggiori eventi politici per la conquista della libertà repubblicana.

“Through the Arts and Mysteries of Florence”
This itinerary winds through what were once the streets and historical palaces where the Arts were performed. The potent civilian corporations, between the 12th and 13th centuries, in good part due to Florence’s extraordinary economic development, contributed to render the city one of the most important in medieval Europe.
The route will touch on the most important public and private buildings like Orsanmichele, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Strozzi, and the squares and streets where major political events were conducted for the conquest of liberty for the republic.

Mother tongue American English speaker born and raised in the United States to native born Italian parents and lover of language and creative writing.
In 1990, relocated to Italy permanently and have been working in the linguistics field ever since.
Applied studies and university acknowledgements in the faculties of English and Communications.
Certified TEFL teacher with 10 years professional teaching experience.
6 years working experience as a project manager in an Italian web agency and software firm achieving extensive experience in translating and writing creative text for the toursim and marketing sectors and author of culinary, shopping and itinerary pages for a large number of Italian hotel web sites and tourism portals.
In January of 2008, headed off to greener, and less crowded, pastures and became an independent translator and writer while continuing to teach English as a second language, and in September 2008 took my passion of language and writing to a higher level through Studiocom 360, an innovative linguistics studio built on the collaboration of a team of dedicated and dynamic native tongue translators prepared to meet the demands of what good translations are all about.
Clients include a number of national and international web agencies and hotels as well as private companies primarily in the architectural and interior design sectors and advertising and international sales and marketing sectors.
I, and those who work with me, strive and succeed to give the best, most comprehensive and flowing translations possible...translations that don't sound like translations!
