Born and raised in Brazil, daughter of a Japanese father, who constrained me to speak Japanese at home; I grew up as a bilingual child who “had to” study Japanese and Portuguese in two different schools for many years.
While still attending the Brazilian elementary school, I started being very inquiring about the Portuguese language, because I was beginning to realize that most people neither speak nor write correctly.
This fact bothered me so much that got me studying more and more, and giving outstanding importance to my native language, through all the years of high school and college.
After graduating in Electric Engineering, working to a German multinational for 9 years, in Brazil and in Germany, I fell in love with the German language. So started my passion for foreign languages, and since then I’ve been studying many languages, occasionally at the same time.
As a hobby, that eventually would turn out to be a profession, at that time, in 1989, I started my translation activities from German into Portuguese.
Having been abroad for many years, I have had the opportunity to study English in the US, German in Germany and Italian in Italy, which made me able to translate in other language pairs. Besides that, “thanks to dad”, I'm also able to interpret Japanese-Portuguese.
I'm fast, accurate, reliable and professional and due to my background, I'm used to make technical translations.
I also lived in Japan, worked full time in translation (EN, IT, DE>PT (BR)) and did interpretation Japanese-Portuguese.
Nascida e criada no Brasil e filha de um pai japonês, que me obrigava a falar somente japonês em casa, cresci como uma criança bilíngüe que “tinha que” estudar japonês e português em duas escolas diferentes, por muitos anos.
Enquanto ainda freqüentava a escola fundamental brasileira, comecei a indagar muito sobre a língua portuguesa, porque já começava a perceber que a maioria das pessoas não fala nem escreve corretamente.
Este fato me incomodava tanto que comecei a estudar mais e mais, dando muita importância à minha língua materna, durante todos os anos da escola média e da faculdade.
Após graduar-me em Engenharia Elétrica, trabalhando em uma Multinacional alemã por nove anos, no Brasil e na Alemanha, apaixonei-me pela língua alemã. Começou, assim, minha paixão pelo estudo de línguas estrangeiras.
Como um passatempo, que eventualmente passaria a ser uma profissão, em 1989 iniciei minhas atividades de tradução, do Alemão para o Português.
Em seguida, tive a oportunidade de estudar Inglês nos Estados Unidos e Italiano na Itália, o que me tornou capaz de traduzir Inglês e Italiano para Português. Além disso, “graças ao papai”, também sou capaz de interpretar Japonês-Português.
Sou rápida, precisa, confiável, pontual e profissional; devido à minha formação, estou acostumada a fazer traduções técnicas.
Também vivi no Japão, trabalhei em tempo integral com traduções (EN, IT, DE> PT (BR)) e fiz interpretação Japonês-Português.
