About me

I was born in Australia and I’m a Freelance Translator and proofreader living in Lisbon. I have a degree in Translation and I'm just finishing my second degree in Psychology (I'm working on my degree thesis).

My language pairs are: English-Portuguese-English, French-Portuguese, Italian-Portuguese and Spanish-Portuguese.

I also perform Portuguese Transcriptions, Typing, Subtitling and Web localization and I do have some HTML knowledge.

I work with an Asus Pentium IV, processor 3 GHz, 1,00GB RAM, 120GB HDD; and I have an Epson multifunction printer (color), scanner & Copy, a CD & DVD writer and a 24 hour high-speed internet connection (4 Mbps).

My most used software are: Windows XP Pro, Office 2003, Trados 6.5 with TagEditor, WordFast, Enlaso, Cute HTML, Word, Excel, Power point, Front page, Adobe Professional, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Winzip and Winrar, Outpost Firewall, Antivirus AVG daily updated, several antispyware removal tools.

I have a daily output of 2500 words for translation. This number can be raised through teamwork (I also work with a Portuguese Translator friend) for urgent or large projects.
