Source text - Italian Nessuno può immaginare il dramma che si nasconde sotto i lineamenti del mio volto sereno, ma anch'io ho avuto vent'anni e il sorriso dell'uomo immerso nella prospettiva di un trionfo imminente. Sensazione di toccare il cielo con un dito, di spiare da un'altezza celeste e profumata il pigro procedere dei mortali su una pianura di cenere. Ricordo... Intrapresi con entusiasmo un cammino di primavera che, se invisibile ai più, era per me autenticamente reale. Trombe d'argento celebravano la mia gloria tra le mura della città intonacata rozzamente e le notti si vestivano ai miei occhi di un prodigio antico, da nessun altro vissuto. Agglomerati di fronde nere, su un canto di luna gialla, delineavano, nella mia immaginazione, panorami ellenici e il sussurro del vento tra i rami si trasformava nell'eco delle baccanti che danzavano al suono di sistri e laudi. About me

A 15-year experience translator both for translation agencies, radios and publishing houses.

Having learned English all by myself when I was a teenager, I have both the Michigan Proficiency Certificate and the Certificate in Advanced English of Cambridge. Later, I took advanced English courses, specializing in some areas, such as English for Law, Contracts and others.

Interested in Spanish culture, literature and cinema, I took courses on Spanish with emphasis on translation - also, I was awarded prizes in contests for poetry I wrote in Spanish. I have even translated a book into Spanish (for kids), as well as many documents.

I have translated texts from French into English and from French into Portuguese for some companies, including Renault.

I have recently started translating from Italian into Portuguese and Italian into English - for my love for the languages, I think that the more we learn the more we CAN learn.

I also work with subtitling - I have took a course on the History of Cinema and other workshops related to the theme, and I love movies, so, this was a huge motivation for my studies in this area of work. Always paying attention to what I used to see in subtitles of the movies I watched, and my technical and specialized studies in this area have made me capable of translating/subtitling precisely.

I have translated about 10 books into Portuguese, which include the following:
