1. As shown in Figure 1, place the test specimen in the center of the base platen. Line up the second platen with the base platen symmetrically so that the test specimen is between the two platens. Put the bolt, washer and nut in place and tighten the nut as much as possible with your fingers.
2. Next, turn the dial gauge with your fingers as far as possible until it is set flush against the tip of the bolt, and calibrate the needle of the dial gauge to zero.
3. Tighten the nut until the extended bolt is applying the specified surface pressure, and record the reading on the gauge.
Please note that tightening should be performed in one smooth motion for less than 3 seconds.
4. After recording the reading on the dial gauge, immediately remove the dial gauge, place the platens and the test specimen in the constant temperature oven set to the specified temperature, and leave them there for the specified time.

Starlight
Imagine that each star
were not a separate source of light
but instead a blistering tear
in some great black fabric
behind which a colossal shining
resides.
And what if each of us
were not a separate mind
but instead a breathing fleshy rip
in the fabric of matter
through which one vast consciousness
observes. | Keywords: Fast, Value for money, volunteer interpreter, education research, manual, automobile, creative, delightful, serenity, |
