About me

I have four years experience as a Japanese to English translator. I am a native English speaker with fluency in Japanese, having completed a PhD in Japanese economic policy at a UK business school. I possess the following competencies and experience:

- Experience and ability to translate and write technical economics, business, and general social science.

- Experience of translating questionnaire survey forms for use in Japan and overseas

- Translate with a high degree of precision and accuracy, whilst remaining true to the original Japanese text.

- Appreciation and experience of project implementation in the international context for various clients, in the government, consultancy and academic sectors.

- Deadline driven approach to project delivery

In April 2008 I became a freelance consultant and translator, working on projects for the service and governmental sectors both in Japan and internationally.
