Sophie has studied dance for 14 years, singing for 10 years, and has sung in a variety of bands since she was 16. She has had leading roles in stage productions, including the role of ‘Velma’ in the musical Chicago at the Zenith Theatre in Chatswood Sydney. She also played ‘The Science Officer’ in ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’, at The Theatre Company Sydney. Sophie has studied acting at The National Institute of Dramatic Arts Summer Schools, and The Australian Theatre for Young People, and Television Presenting, among other workshops. Sophie also has experience in film and television, aside from her own film clips for her original music; she was spokesperson for the 2003 Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation, which aired on all of Australia’s network television channels. She has also worked on major films as a stand-in and appeared in various short films.
Sophie played the violin from the age of 3 and has placed in competitions for violin performance and composition more than twenty times before the age of 16, including the City of Sydney Performing Arts Challenge. Since her first solo performance of her own compositions at the Hard Rock Café Sydney in 1999, her solo violin act has been described as “cutting edge virtuoso- pop violinist: a sophisticated performer”. Performing her own arrangements of the classics and her own original compositions, with her band and as a roving performer with DJs, there is nothing out there that looks, sounds and moves like Sophie. She has used her variety of skills to create her own unique show, “Sophie Serafino, Pop Violinist”.
Her solo act has taken her to high profile events from Sydney charity events to corporate launches including the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation at the Stamford Plaza Hotel Double Bay 2003, Make A Wish Foundation Dinner Double Bay 2003, and The George Jensen Master Diamond Collection Launch Melbourne 2005. Most recently, Sophie has performed in London, Amsterdam, Thailand, Paris and Los Angeles, and shortly to New York. A versatile musician, she performs her original material both acoustically and with DJs all over the world.
After her first four recordings, including Colliding Worlds (MGM 2004), Sophie is now in the studio recording her first solo violin album.

3歳でヴァイオリンを始め、演奏や作曲による16歳までの受賞歴は、シドニー市主催公演芸術コンクールをはじめ20回をこえる。1999年にシドニーのハードロックカフェでオリジナルをャ高ﾅ披露して以来、ヴァイオリンを弾く彼女は「超絶技巧のポップ・ヴァイオリニスト： 研ぎ澄まされたアーティスト」と評されてきた。自らのバンドをひきいたりDJと組んで、クラシックのオリジナルアレンジや自身のオリジナル曲を演奏する。そのサウンド、ヴィジュアル、動きは他のどのミュージシャンにも似ていない。この多彩な技狽ｷべてによって、ただ一つのショー「ポップ・ヴァイオリニスト＝ャtィー・セラフィーノ」が創り出される。
ャtィーのャ高ﾍシドニーの数々のビッグイヴェントをもりたてた。2003年ダブルベイのスタンフォード・プラザホテルでおこなわれた癌基金のパーティ、同じく2003年ダブルベイのメイク・ア・ウィッシュ基金晩餐会、さらに2005年メルボルンでのジョージ・ジェンセン・マスター・ダイアモンド・コレクションのラウンチなどである。最近では、ロンドン、アムステルダム、タイ、パリ、ロサンジェルスで公演し、近々ニューヨークでも公演嵐閧ｾ。アコースティックに、またＤＪとのコラボによって自在に阜ｻできるャtィー・セラフィーノは、世界中でオリジナルなショーを展開している。
これまでに「Colliding Worlds(MGM 2004)」をふくめ4枚のCDがある。現在は初のヴァイオリンャ高ﾅの作品をレコーディング中である。
