Job description:
We are looking for a translator who can also transcribe audio and video recordings, for an ongoing project.
The recordings are mostly in Spanish and need to be transcribed and translated into English.
There is a special free software to install, so basic needs are a PC with MS Word, good headphones and a quiet work environment that allows clear listening of the tapes.
The essence of the recordings will vary but mostly involve police interviews, insurance claims interviews, focus groups, and other types of interviews such as sports figures, celebrities, etc, for TV and Radio broadcast.
If interested, a test will be provided with a sample audio, sample template in Word, and a basic style guide to follow. Adherence to the style guide and instructions is very relevant because we work with a large clientele. Each client will have specific requirements for their job, and so it's important to adhere to those requirements.
