Freelance Translator
We are looking for freelance translators to work with the ES Istanbul Office.

Job Description
The job involves the translation of source texts into the target language (usually mother-tongue language) and adapting the texts to meet local requirements with CAT tools.
Requirements
" Superb command of Arabic (mother-tongue standard written and spoken)
" Expert command of English (German is a plus), particularly within chosen industry or technology sectors
" Translation skills and methodologies
" Awareness of cultural issues
" Typing and word processing skills
" Terminology management and research skills
" Knowledge of translation memory tools
" Knowledge of terminology tools
" Knowledge of workflow tools and/or other relevant translation tools
" Understanding of product to be translated
" Internet, web and email skills
" Hardware skills
" General computing skills (Fluency at Windows and related applications)
" Minimum 3 years of experience in localization and/or translation projects
Responsibilities
" Agreement/understanding of end-user client on quality requirements
" Translation of source files (typically technical documentation or instructions)
" Research terminology
" Report problems and status
" Improve translated documentation until it meets quality standards
" Translating software, help and documentation with the appropriate CAT tools.
" Maintaining consistency to linguistic standards and glossaries
" Responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards of translation
During the evaluation process we will ask:
- To fill in a questionnaire related to translation experience and competencies of the candidate.
- To do a test translation (not more than 500 words).
- To complete an English test.
Notes:
- English test duration should not exceed 30 minutes, please note the completion time of the English test for the candidates. Maximum 7 mistakes will be acceptable.
