voilà, per confonderti un po' le idee :-D
'The nomenclature, however, is not uniform. For example, the cavum septi pellucidi is perhaps better known as the fifth ventricle, and the cavum vergae is called Verga's ventricle, the sixth ventricle, the ventricle of Strambio, ventriculus fornicis, ventriculus triangularis, and the canal aqueduct..

-> @sePtum: yes, it was a typo, as clearly shown by my google search. Concerning the second part, I left the choice to the asker: all the options I posted seems to have some value, as nobody added anything new to my last post, up to now ;-) Marcella

Cavum sept pellucida or Cavum vergae

Explanation:
Cavum sept pellucida or Cavum vergae serves as a singificant marker of cerebral dysfunction manifested Neurodevelopmental abnormalities while the Cavum Vergae alone does not identify individuals at risks for cognitive delays. It is associated with Neurologic abnormality and diagnosis by MRI. The cava or quarrry greater then 6mn in length could be taken as abnormally large. Higher prevalence of large cavum sept pellucida was revealed in schizophrenics, developmentally delayed populations, and in relatively lower percentage, in brains of aggressive persons and alcoholics.

cavity of septum pellucidum (i.e.fifth ventricle) and Verga's ventricle

Explanation:
The septum pellucidum actually consists of two layers or laminae of both white and gray matter, called the laminae septi pellucidi.

These layers are normally fused; however, in approximately one-tenth of humans, there is a slit-like cavity between them, referred to as cavum septum pellucidum, cavum septi pellucidi, or "fifth ventricle"

neutral  lirka: well, if yoy chose Latin, then you should write et instead of and. Latin not often used in English
1 hr
-> Ma non é il paio IT/ENG questo? Sono due termini in latino, sí, ma questo significherebbe che un madrelingua inglese deve congiungerli con et?

agree  SJLD: I would definitely use the Latin terms here - especially in the CNS, Latin IS used in English - e.g. corpus callosum, no need to use ET for AND either/you too - ciao :-)

Reference: cavum septum pellucidum / fifth ventricle

Reference information:
The septum pellucidum actually consists of two layers or laminae of both white and gray matter, called the laminae septi pellucidi.

These layers are normally fused; however, in approximately one-tenth of humans, there is a slit-like cavity between them, referred to as cavum septum pellucidum, cavum septi pellucidi, or "fifth ventricle" [1][2]. The last term has lost favor in recent years, as the space is usually not continuous with the ventricular system and does not contain cerebrospinal fluid [3]. Indeed fifth ventricle has been used for other purposes in recent years.[4].
