semi presential / semi-presential Explanation: :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-11-04 10:12:25 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Many universities and institutions of superior education in the world have their own pages in Internet. Doesn\'t have for object this page to list them because our objective is guided mainly to include in her only THOSE THAT OFFER STUDIES, COURSES, SPECIALIZATIONS AND TEACHING IN GENERAL FOR INTERNET (***in presential and semi presential form***). http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Arc/7824/Ingles/universityen.... The objective is train them in the basic requirements necessary for them to start their own economical resources, (small businesses, companies, co-operatives, etc.). One of the IVETTE cases present the Now-Meta Project, as one example of programme design to attend these specific problems. This project uses the strategy of ***semi-presential teaching***, so the students can adapt their studies to their personal activity and responsibilities. http://xiram.doe.d5.ub.es/IVETTE/Target.htm This project is a response by the UIB to the requirements of the smaller islands to contribute to equality of opportunity for students, to provide improved access to higher education for the general population, and to continually improve professional competence. ***The courses are semi-presential***, and offer degree and postgraduate studies with the support of information technology. In this sense we are initiating university studies which use the presently available technology as a starting point. http://www.uib.es/depart/gte/WebCTUIB.html |
