plunging to full radius Explanation: Elena, I'm no expert here, but I think you'll find it probably means that NOT ONLY is this tool capable of producing a round-bottomed hole (= full radius), BUT ALSO it is capable of boring into the material to do so (= plunging). I suspect that normally you have to drill a hole of the appropriate diameter (or slightly smaller), and then in a second operation insert the full-radius tool to shape the bottom of the hole. A tool that is capable of producing a neat, round-bottomed hole might not always be suitable for removing the large amounts of material needed to bore the basic hole in the first place... |
