In his book on e-public relations David Phillips sounds warning bells on a concept he dubs "porosity." This relates to the passage of information from within an organization to external audiences, ouside the controlled and formal information flows and without regard for the broader consequences of the communication. This could be seen as the 21st-century version of whistle-blowing but it could be equally be sheer inability to get the grips with the complexity of the computer.
