Igualmente los estados tienen sus sistema judicial, son tribunales estatales o en México "del fuero común".

abogado solvente con el colegio de abogados


Explanation:
Yo entiendo que "in good standing with the bar" significa que el abogado en cuestión no tiene deudas con respecto a sus cuotas de afiliación al colegio de abogados en el cual está inscri(p)to/registrado.

Para mí, "United States court" es "tribunal federal".

En Venezuela decimos "abogado solvente con el colegio de abogados"; entiendo que otros países dicen "barra".

agree  Carmen Schultz: es la idea de good standing pero va un poco más allá de lo financiero ya que implica que el abogado ha tenido un record profesional irreprochable (como en el sentido de no quebrantar la ética profesional, etc)
