Now, regarding the word string itself: In Arabic we use the following expressions in reference to fiction: الأدب القصصي الفن القصصي الأعمال القصصية The first two refer to the art itself, while the last refers to the corpora. The term encompasses novels, novellas, short stories, fairy tales, folk tales, and fables. Historical fiction is fiction in which the time setting is a specific historical period. Such works are often called "period pieces." The writer of this kind of literature sometimes uses actual historical material (such as well-known characters or events), but the work as a whole remains fiction. The comma, used as a separator of data (as in addresses) is usually replaced by a space-dash-space in Arabic. Thus, "Houston, Texas" is written: هيوسـتن - تكساس The spaces are important because they distinguish the separator from a hyphen that joins two words together. Therefore, "historical fiction, georgian" can be written: الأعمال القصصية التاريخية - جورجيا Although the English version uses the adjectival form "Georgian," The Arabic version will work better with the nominal form.
