Working on a Swiss accounting text and under the income from trade, I have Wert vor Pruefung (value prior to audit I guess) but also Wert lt Pruefung and I have no idea what this is. One year the lt value is higher that the vor and the next year it's lower. This comes up a lot in the text so it would good to know what it is!

neutral  Ted Wozniak: I'm not 100% sure if "audit"is correct but only the client can confirm if the Prüfung was indeed by an auditor or was merely a "review" as in a "Werthaltikeitsprüfung" (impairment test). Absent confirmation by the client, I would go with "review" instead

  -> Thanks Ted. "Review" sounds good. The asker was after the meaning of "lt" so I didn't give "Pruefung" any consideration.
agree  jccantrell: My thought, too. as per, according to, kind of like: what the people say there figures are and then what they REALLY are. -- And if I could spell 'THEIR" I would be dangerous!
