"el periodo del incremento"

Explanation:
Hi Irene, loking the KudoZ glossaries, I see that there has already been questions about this term. Please see:

http://www.proz.com/?sp=h&id=41181&keyword=ramp
http://www.proz.com/?sp=h&id=57284&keyword=ramp

Although in the 2nd question an answer was not chosen, you can appreciate that the adjective (ramp-up) and the phrasal verb (ramp up) have there origens in the word "ramp", as in to go upwards or move forwards.

In your case, I would suggest the following:
"el period del incremento", not necessarily gradual, since "ramps" are usually steep.
As well as that, if the context indicates it, this term might also be translated as the start-up period:
"el periodo de puesto en marcha"
