depends how big your sachet is

Explanation:
I'd say a sachet usually contains between 5 and 50 grams.

sachet (packet) of salt - c.5 grams
sachet of cheddar cheese sauce - c.40g

I suppose if you\'re working with vanilla then it would be around 10g.

Q. I recently was given a baking cook book that comes from England and I have a few questions about ingredients that I hope you can answer for me. What are: a sachet of vanilla sugar (I know what the vanilla sugar is, but not the sachet), and castor sugar?
A. Oh, if we only spoke the same language. A sachet is simply a packet, as a sachet of gelatin is a packet of gelatin. The problem is, we haven’t been able to find out how much vanilla sugar comes in a packet. We’re guessing it’s about 2 teaspoons, and that some of our eagle-eyed British readers will correct us if necessary.

(Vanilla sugar, as you know is granulated sugar that’s been infused with vanilla. If you’ve run out of sachets and want to make it at home, place one vanilla bean in 1/2 pound of sugar in a closed container, and let the flavors mingle for a week or so.)

HTH ...

Filling
550g jar precooked wheat (see note)
300ml milk
100g unsalted butter, chopped
500g caster sugar
700g ricotta, drained in a sieve for 30 minutes
7 eggs
3 egg yolks
16g sachet vanilla powder (see note)

(note)
Vanilla powder is an Italian mixture of vanilla flavour, cornflour and sugar. You can substitute it with an equal amount of vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
