Hillside Erosion Explanation: I think this is what ti means, although 'hillside erosion' is more likely 'escorrentía de ladera'. On the coast it could refer to cliff movement/erosion too.It can have devastating consequences for nearby buildings. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coastal_erosion |

mass wasting / slope movement / mass movement Explanation: I'm no expert but this seems to fit the description. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 mins (2011-08-08 11:53:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://www.ecomii.com/science/encyclopedia/mass-wasting -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 mins (2011-08-08 11:53:33 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Mass wasting A generic term for downslope movement of soil and rock, primarily in response to gravitational body forces. Mass wasting is distinct from other erosive processes in which particles or fragments are carried down by the internal energy of wind, running water, or moving ice and snow. slope movement Explanation: [PDF] 15 3. - [ Translate this page ] www.ugr.es/~ren03366/DEA/TEMAS/memoria/3_MOVIMIENTOS.pdfSim... |
