English term or phrase: chop trawler
Hola de nuevo. Les vuelvo a pedir su amable colaboración con el "Ahnentafel" que estoy traduciendo, en el que uno de los antepasados aparece descrito como "chop trawler commander".

Sé que se trata de un oficio porque los demás antepasados tienen etiquetas como "shoemaker", "farmer"... Pero aunque he encontrado lo que es un trawler, no encuentro para nada un "chop trawler".

Como siempre, muy agradecido.

Spanish translation:arrastradero en la boca del canal de la Mancha
Explanation:
I am assuming that the "chops of the Channel" hypothesis is correct. In English, it's a proper name and I don't think it has a Spanish counterpart. But the Spanish translation of the common name (i.e. the chops of any channel, not just the English one) is "boca".

Obviously, you can replace "arrastradero" with the synonym "barco de arrastre", if you prefer.

Como me falta información, me incliné por la opción más genérica, simplemente "arrastradero en la boca del canal".

Reference information:
There is no such thing as an "Arrastradero".

A trawler is a barco/buque/pesquero/goleta de arrastre. Trawling is pesca de arrastre.
Some people call the ship "arrastrero" but not arrastradero.

A bit late, but readers that may come up in the future might benefit from this correction.
