Is this question anything to do with your other one about a Hindu setting? If so, then this might be Indian EN, which would explain a lot!
Do we take it that the 1st and 3rd lines are spoken by the brother who objects to these guests, while the middle line is spoken by the brother who is in favour of it?

I am more than ever convinced that 'far-fetched' is simply being used incorrectly here, but without proper context to work from, it's almost impossible to guess what the intended meaning might have been, especially coming from the apparent speaker? |
