Bonjour,
Je cherche à rendre cette expression en français.
Le contexte : deux policiers mènent une enquête sur un braquage. Ils ont un suspect. Un certain Sergent Lemere qui accueille et héberge chez lui, d'anciens soldats en souffrance revenus du front, afin de les aider à se réinsérer dans la société. Ils sont une quinzaine à vivre chez lui. A court d'argent (car le sergent ne leur demande rien en échange), le sergent décide de s'en procurer par des moyens illégaux et de commettre un braquage. Il lui faut deux complices. Il choisit deux des hommes qu'il accueille chez lui mais ne parle de son plan à personne d'autre, pour ne pas les mettre en porte à faux. Lorsque les policiers arrivent (après le braquage) pour fouiller la maison, ils tombent sur un des habitants, qui n'est au courant de rien. Question du premier policier en aparté :"Do you think he knows ?". Réponse de l'autre policier"No, Lemere wants to keep the circle small".
