Il s'agit d'une procédure normalisée pour l'utilisation du système de positionnement dynamique (DP) des navires de soutien des plateformes pétrolières. Le positionnement dynamique sert à maintenir le navire sur sa position de travail

4.2.4 DP capability plots

The purpose of the DP capability plots is to determine by calculation, based on assumed propulsion power, the position keeping ability of the vessel in fully intact and, in certain degraded conditions and, in various environmental conditions.

The DP capability plots shall be used in the risk assessment used to determine the safe working limits at offshore installations.

The company shall also recognise that recent developments have resulted in DP capability plots being made available on-line as an added facility in the DP control system.

The company shall be aware that such on-line information is based on theoretical calculation of assumed propulsion/thruster power and may not necessarily represent the vessel’s actual DP capability.

DP capability plots shall be treated with caution and their results shall be assessed for validity against the observed performance of the vessel as measured in the DP footprint plots.

DP capability plots shall not show vessel excursions when in DP. They show the likely environmental limits within which a DP vessel shall return to the target position when an excursion takes place caused by external environmental forces. This can be in intact and in degraded conditions, including, for equipment class 2 and 3 vessels, after worst-case failure.
