Persian (Farsi) term or phrase: ساقی و باقی
Hi,

Looking for two rhyming words with the same meaning as the above terms.

This is the title of a book which is about the culture and history of calligraphy and I would be more than thankful if anyone could share any ideas regarding the equivalents for the above terms, if they rhyme too (like the Persian equivalents) it is even better.

Thanks in advance for putting your time.

serving (ones)- deserving (ones)
Explanation:
اگر باقی به معنی بقیه (یعنی یک نفر ساقی در مقابل بقیه (غیر ساقی )) بااشد:
(the) serving (one) - (the) deserving (one)

اگر باقی به معنای بقا یابنده و فناگریز باشد:
(The serving (one) - (the) preserving (one)
The parentheses indicate cases you can manipulate to fit your goal/contex.

disagree  Mohammad Reza Sabeti Zadeh: respectfully, the word باقی that you translated it into "Deserving" means "Someone whom are Eternal", I mean کسی که خود را جاودانه و یا خود را در مرتبه خدایی می داند

The Bartender and the Others

Explanation:
In our university course, "saghi" was translated into "bartender." Though I didn't like the term, this word has become popular. So the best translation could be "The Bartender and the Others."

Cupbearer and Eternal one

Explanation:
After seeking in literal text such as Shakespeare, Poetry, Sonnets and Quotations of Woody Allen; the rhyming word that you want was no gain to access.

I can offer:

cupbearer:
one who has the duty of filling and handing around the cups in which wine is served

Cup-bearers in Greek myth
Hêbê
Hêbê is the daughter of Zeus and Hera and is shown doing her cup-bearer duties inHomer's Iliad:

Eternal:
adjective: tiresomely long; seemingly without end
Example: "The wait seemed eternal"
adjective: lasting for an indefinitely long period of time
adjective: continuing forever or indefinitely
Example: "Eternal truths"

Server and Served

Explanation:
Since you are looking for a book title, I think we can take some liberty with the translation, although this is not really a lot of liberty.

There is nothing in English that rhymes.

ساقی is usually translated as "wine-bearer" or "cup-bearer"...but here I just chose "server" so we can connect it to "served" ...which I think is a reasonably good equivalent for باقی in this context.

If you really need to include می in the context, we could also say "Wine Server and Served"

Note: I don't think we can capture all the meanings of باقی here in English

agree  ZaraHoushmand: I found my way here looking for clarification of a passage in Molana where baghi apparently means an eternal spring, source of what the saghi is serving. I think the sense of "server and served" may be on the wrong track here.
