It's impossible to tell without more context — but there is at least one other possibility which might be even more likely.
It all really hinges on whether or not there is another, presumably later, version than 4.0; I can conceive of a system being 'configured' with version 4 for light use, even though a more powerful version 5 also exists. In other words, 'configure' might have the meaning here of more or less 'install'.
So I think you will need to look for clues in the rest of your text to see if you can get any clarification...
It is also I suppose possible that this is a version being described as a 'configuring version' (for whatever reason I can't imagine); in which case, you might have 'version de configuration'.
And finally, don't forget that 'configuration' is quite often 'paramétrage'! |
