Cependant, dans ce dernier cas, le texte anglais aurait dû inclure le mot "fuse" : "the speaker output fuse is blown"

Mais, en langage technique, les rédacteurs abrègent souvent les termes car ils pensent que les lecteurs comprennent le sens implicite tout comme eux-mêmes. Par exemple, ils diront tout simplement : "the speaker's crossover" au lieu de : "the speaker's crossover integrated circuit" (c'est le circuit intégré qui commande le passage d'une zone de fréquences à l'autre : basses>moyennes>hautes
