Normas de calibração

My problem is I come from an engineering environment, where we had hot discussions about this, and an agency was dismissed because they insisted on using "norms" instead of "standards". So it became a sequel for me. In the engineering/technical world, it's always standards. In the legal world, however, norms is perfectly feasible, no doubt.

I am quite a devotee of NORM whenever I can use it. Maybe for you it is too close to NORMAS. I think there is a "subtle" difference, but generally it is a matter of taste :-)


norms : standards of proper or acceptable behavior

the norm : an average level of development or achievement

the norm : something (such as a behavior or way of doing something) that is usual or expected

Contrariando o que se comentou abaixo, acho pouco provável que o documento seja europeu, porque em Portugal se escreve indeMnização e econÓmica e, antes do Acordo Ortográfico: factores, que passou a fatores.

Mas está mal redigido em qualquer país, pois o correto e natural seria: é necessário que o julgador se utilize, mas julgo que esse verbo aí é uma péssima escolha vocabular. Como dizia a minha avó, o diabo quis enfeitar tanto o filho que acabou por lhe furar o olho.
