Dutch term or phrase: vermogensopbouw
This is about refinancing and being able to keep an old interest-only mortgage arrangement ("spaarhypotheek" etc.) which would no longer be possible under current legislation and regulations. My source text says, "Hierbij wordt de oude vermogensopbouw gerespecteerd".

My client's terminology list lists "wealth creation" for "vermogensopbouw", but I'm having some misgivings as to whether that's appropriate in this particular context. . .

Explanation:
In deze context - van een spaarhypotheek- groeit het kapitaal door stortingen en door rente (-op-rente).
Wealth creation is voor vermogensopbouw met behulp van aandelen (waardestijging en dividend).

level of asset-build

Explanation:
wealth creation is certainly within 'acceptable parameters' of this Germanic concept cf. Vermögensaufbau in DE.

Anyway, it is surely a fraught strategy to query the client's own glossary, even if complete bunkum.

But the nuance of gerespecteerd needs to be reflected - that's why I've tentaively inserted a 'level'.

= structure. I'm afraid my Dutch isn't up to it. But 'redemption capital structure' sounds like a right royal mix-up. If anything, it would be capital > your better-sounding: loan > repayment structure. Capital (vs. a mortgage, financial bond, token or voucher) is not redeemed but repaid, except in 'capital redemption business' in life ins.ass.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes, but the glossary is like a translation memor--it does not provide context, so it may well be that the term was previouly used in a completely different context. IMO "level" has no place here, it's about the *method* of 'asset-buid', i.e. putting savings into a savings account or paying premiums on an insurance policy to work towards paying off the principal in a single lump sum, and only paying monthly interest payments in the meantime.

Asker: Okay, I've had another think about this, since I'm encountering this "opbouw" again and again in the section of the text I'm working on, and I'm now wondering whether perhaps "structure" is the way to go. i.e. "de samenstelling van de beleggingen in het op te bouwen kapitaal", "de opbouw van het aflossingskapitaal" = redemption capital structure (if that isn't too much of a mouthful)? Or should I go for a more liberal/less literal appraoch and go with "loan repayment structure"? What do you reckon?

Asker: Chill out, guys :-) Thanks for the ref, Michael. It doesn't seem to be too ar to find a dozen ways of translating this term, but the context has me a bit uncertain which one of those would be appropriate.
