We need more of the context to understand this fully: normally, one would just talk about a 'tee' (union or connector, for example) — so why the writer chose to add 'branch' may or may not have some specific significance.
It might, for example, be referring to one specific branch of the 3: "Connect the blue pipe to the right-hand tee-branch" Then again, it might be referring to the actual fact of tee-ing something off: "A tee-branch should be used if it is needed to provide an extra feed for the..."
You see how the way it is used may change the part of speech or type of term required? |
