The agreement, as you stress it, is pretty much what is meant by the word "σύσταση", or even "συγκρότηση" as others have suggested (η 'πράξη' και όχι ο/οι 'εκτελεστής/ές', as you say).<br><br>Don't twist my words by omitting some of them. <br><br>And, please, don't point me to greek media; you won't find a less reliable reference when it comes to translations - let alone when those translations stretch beyond every day parlance.<br><br>
"Accused of having agreed with others to commit a crime at some time in the future" equals "charged with criminal conspiracy" in English. What I'm asking for is the Greek equivalent. If "κατηγορείται για εγκληματική συνωμοσία" is what you suggest, then please provide some proper reference to strengthen your case.

What I'm asking for, however, is a legal term, and the only legal usage of the word "συνωμοσία" I can find in ΛΚΝ is defined as μυστική συνεννόηση ομάδας τριών τουλάχιστον ατόμων, που έχει σκοπό την ανατροπή μιας καθιερωμένης τάξης στον πολιτικό ή στο στρατιωτικό τομέα, which is pretty narrow - restricted to the political and military domain. The rest of the connotations are related to the casual, non-legal usage of the word...<br><br>(to be continued...)

συνωμοσία more or less comes up to συμμορία (gang) but in the present case the latter cannot stand alone. I suggested "σύσταση συμμορίας" as a more viable solution, though in general I prefer εγκληματική συνωμοσία.

Τhe formation of a gang' to commit 'a criminal act'. In English, 'criminal act is the conspiracy by the gang, to do something.

Ότι και να πεις, 'συνωμοσία' είναι η 'πράξη' και όχι ο/οι 'εκτελεστής/ές' της πράξης.
'Η εγκληματική συμμορία συνωμότησαι=the criminal gang conspired to....or if you translate it from, 'συμμορία για τη διάπραξη εγκληματικής πράξης' in English it should read,
'gang for the execution/carrying out of a criminal act.'
Μπαμπινιώτης:-συνεννοήσεις και ενέργειες που χαρακτηρίζονται από μυστικότητα και στοχεύουν στην τέλεση παράνομων *πράξεων.*. Ούτε 'οργάνωση' ούτε 'συμμορία'.

The correct, from my experience, term for 'conspiracy'=συνωμοσία and not
'συμμορία'= gang, a group. 'Conspiracy' can be performed by a single person and not necessarily by a gang/group of people.
