English term or phrase: tolerance stack ups
Could someone familiar with aerospace testing solutions or mechanical engineering help me formulating the following sentence in a consistent way? Thanks a lot in advance.

"Tolerance stack ups occur throughout the load train. Grips, spiral washers, load cells, actuators and crossheads cannot be machined perfectly..."

GDT, Eurodic, Proz and others give me the following options:
Des empilages (??) de tolérance, ??what is load train???
Poignées (attaches, pinces de serrage, systèmes de fixation?), Laveurs à spirale (...), indicateurs de force de compression (cellules de charge, capteurs à jauge??), Vérins (actionneurs, systèmes actifs, moteurs de comande?); et pistons (pompes, traverses?)

Systèmes de fixation, laveurs à spirale, capteurs, vérins et pistons? :#

The inevitability of load frame misalignment

If you assume that your load frames are delivering correct and reliable data because they are accurately calibrated for load and displacement you may be making a serious error. Even properly calibrated load frames can deliver incorrect and unreliable data if they are unaligned or misaligned.

Load frames can drift out of alignment due a number of factors. The initiation of a new test program, cross head position, a fixturing change, or a collet or wedge change can all lead to load frame misalignment and ultimately jeopardize the reliability of your test data.

Even precisely machined load frames need to be checked for alignment. Tolerance stack ups occur throughout the load train. Grips, spiral washers, load cells, actuators and crossheads cannot be machined perfectly enough to avoid concentric and angular misalignment.
