disagree  Doreen Carre: No. Can also be coarsely ground. In Brazil, the term "farinha" is not necessarily a fine flour. For example, "farinha de mandioca" varies from region to region, from state to state. See, for example: www.raizes-ong.org.br/Livros/Cap.3/CAP 21A.pdf -
